Dated: June 2020
Language:

In Part 4 of the Introduction to ODK series, we look at what you can do with form logic in XLSForms. The video explains:

  • Constraints
  • Relevancies and Skip Patterns
  • Grouping questions
  • Repeating questions
  • Some advice for best practices

This is the fourth video in a series  designed to help you learn the fundamentals of Open Data Kit (ODK) and mobile data collection.

An example XLSForm is available to download, which you can explore and use to follow along and practice alongside the videos. You can also download the presentation in the form of a PowerPoint slideshow. See the downloads listed below.

There is also an accompanying video, which goes over the examples discussed in this part, looking at them in situ in the XLSForm.

The series may be helpful for researchers, students or anyone else who may wish to carry out data collection using mobile devices.

This video series was written and presented by Alex Thomson for Statistics for Sustainable Development.
